The Left invented memes. The Right's literary genius is exhausted by polemic and imprecation. "Burn the witch!"

Intriguing novel, and provocative show, but the point I wanted to make concerned transmission, not a judgment about the show itself. As with genes, when we transmit memes, we transmit all sorts of things other than what we intended. We might want to think about that a bit more. A bad meme intends to transmit an empowering message but actually disempowers those who disseminate it and impedes growing their coalition. That is as ineffective as memes demanding that one stop burning witches, even if any decent and reasonable person would WANT to stop such cruelties.
