I don’t believe “Black History Month” is about my culture or heritage.

As a Nigerian Christian male, you may be right. But it's still interesting history, isn't it?

Critical theory assumes assumptions are unreliable. Rather than assuming anyone is a victim, crits assume victims may exist - and if so, victimizers may try to shift blame so as to avoid being held accountable. If victimizers might deploy labels to promote their own interests at the expense of others, should we look more closely at the labels, or should we try to avoid the process of labelling (which might be possible in a world where we grow exactly the food that we eat - but in this world...)
