To be honest, his approach to art and that aspect of culture needs supplementing by eyes and spirits like yours. He's writing from a roughly similar perspective, but art glorifies unique human perspectives. I think he and others would enjoy seeing what you see as much as I just did.
BTW, "American Dirt" was "criticized" - but was it canceled? How many commercially successful works are released each year that the critics hate? Are they entitled to positive reviews, so that anyone who refuses to gush is canceling them, or persecuting them somehow? I cannot understand such a picture of cancellation as persecution. Seems to me, locking someone on the other side of a wall away from their loved ones comes closer...
